- memtbExplorerWe’ve tried the Irish Spring.....the mice chewed on it! We’ve tried the “dryer sheets”.... I think they used them for bedding!
Right now we’re using..... cotton balls, with several drops of Peppermint Essential Oils. Supposedly....mice “do not” like peppermint! The ball is then placed in a small plastic container ( similar to what restaurant condiments come in) with the lid perforated. These are placed around the camper. Can’t attest to their success....just started trying them! - mgirardoExplorer

I put several bars of irish spring out because I heard the same thing. The bars got all chewed up. I guess the mice like the taste of a spring day in Ireland.
Someone posted a photo once of a bar of Irish Spring with little nibbles out of it.
We use dryer sheets to keep bugs out of drawers and cabinets. We put a half a sheet into every drawer and cabinet. Seems to work as the only place we had spiders were at places we didn't have a dryer sheet.

I used a couple dryer sheets in my snowmobile a few summers ago. In the fall i found them as a base for their nest.
Also, based on experience.... NEVER USE MOTH BALLS. holy ****, it took most of the summer for that smell to go away.
I have used mothballs... you need to put them Outside the trailer, around anything touching the ground - tires, front jack, stabilizers if you put them down. - SoundGuyExplorer

we tried the Bounce sheets and Irish Spring thingy several years back. Mice made a nest from the sheets so I guess the soap trick didn't work for us either.
Fresh Cab has always worked for me. :B - FizzExplorer:)
Reminds me of the time a mouse nibble on a bar of Ivory soap. It's droppings all around the soap went from black to grey to white. - winnimanExplorer III put several bars of irish spring out because I heard the same thing. The bars got all chewed up. I guess the mice like the taste of a spring day in Ireland. Tried the plug in screamers, the bounce sheets. Even had a friend who worked at a bakery suggest potato flakes will make them thirsty, then when they drink water the flakes expand and kill the mice. Im not sure if it worked or not, but they ate the potato flakes. If nothing else, all the predators that eat mice where getting mashed potatoes with their mice dinner.
- mleekampExplorerAs others, I've tried many methods. Best method I've seen is 2 steps:
1. gorilla tape, aluminum or steel wool to close up any openings under or around the trailer
2. simple, old fashioned, mouse traps. Inside and out. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIII do't know about meeses but the Irish Soap trick drives ME out of the trailer.
'Chemical smells' drive me into a sneezing fit.
Otta see me on an elevator with those that really like their perfume/cologne
Vermin...we set traps, seal access points as much as possible and use sachet with peppermint oil - turbojimmyExplorer

Don’t work. The electric things don’t work, nothing does . Must seal any opening bigger than a dime.
I am fighting mice in a cabin I have in the woods.
Tried peppermint, mothballs ,oils, steel wool. poison, traps. I’m not there f/t but a cat is a good choice.
There are down sides to traps and poisons as rotting carcasses really stink up a area.
Fresh Cab works, and doesn't smell horrible. I wouldn't say it smells great but it's tolerable. It was taken off the market by the manufacturer late last year but it's back. They didn't really have a clear explanation but I've read it was an issue with one of their suppliers related to the EPA-certification of the ingredients. I'm hoping they didn't change the formula because it does work.
Fresh Cab on Amazon - joelcNomadI have used Pure Peppermint Oil soaked in cotton balls during the winter. If you have an infestation, the only thing that will work is to see where they are, and put mouse traps along their routes checking them daily. Be sure all foods, especially cereals and grains, are not in boxes, but in rodent "deterent" containers.
