Well not sure at what AGE to stop haul'in. I'm 83 and just in March of 2017 I had my first accident with my 5'er - of course, I don't know how it happened, my wife and I were in Wally place picking up some groceries when we returned to the rig there was a BIG scrape down the left side and the cargo door was almost off. It was NOT that way when we went in. Nobody saw it (or said they did ) no note - THANKS a LOT - I guess its time to hand down the driving gloves. BBT
It's too late now, but Wally has very extensive video coverage in their lots. I don't know how helpful they would be in a situation like this but never hurts to ask. - CopperheadExplorerYeah, kind of a tough sell that 70 is the magic age one should stop towing. I am in my 60's and own/operate commercial class 8 trucks, and even turn wrenches as well. Nothing for me to crawl under a semi and do an oil change, grease job, change shocks, etc. And I can shift 18 gears under a full gross of 80,000 lb as good as any youngster, and in heavy Chicago traffic! I am not even going to file for SSI until I have to at age 70, but that will not stop me from working. I love what I do. I will obviously slow down some so that I can just take off and go somewhere with a travel trailer whenever the mood hits me. And it won't be KOA camping either. I like remote boon docking where the road ends and the scenery is natural. Not a campground full of 5th wheels and motorhomes.

LOL! Ed just turned 70, and if he stopped towing, how would he get his drag-racer to the track?? - Passage0ftimeExplorerI have been in the insurance industry for 40 year, handling claims, primarily workers compensation for the last 20. Granted, in my line I deal only with those who have sustained injuries on the job, but I see a wide variety, and have dealt with injuries to commercial truck drivers quite often who are older than 70. These are men (and women) who are driving big rigs. Their injuries very seldom involve actually driving related accidents. We see mostly slip/falls from entering and exiting their cab, strains from tarping trailers or securing loads. My point is, that the age is not relevant as to can they drive question. Health is an issue, but only rarely does that combine with an actual vehicular accident.
- eheadingExplorerI find this whole thread most interesting. I turned 81 last week and we purchased our last motorhome just 3 years ago. I have to admit though, that we did downsize our motorhome from 41' to 34'. We are thrilled with the smaller size, but still enjoy traveling with our 3 dogs and 2 cats.

- colliehaulerExplorer IIIIf you think you are dangerous on the road by all means stop driving. Know when to say when. My aunt drove until she was 90 then she had a minor accident and decided to quit driving and sell the car. She was a very smart lady and I respected her for making that decision. I don't know if I could quit driving that gracefully.

- badsixExplorerI'm going to be 69 next month and I'm as good as I was at 35 I can back my trailer any where I need to with no problems. I ride moto x and quads and seem to get along just fine and can keep up with KIDS much younger than me. haha I shouldn't talk like this i'll probably have a stroke tonight.
Jay D. - wa8yxmExplorer IIII am going to say only this. THere is no "Set" age.. At 66 I am far younger than my Mother was at 66, in fact. i'm more ALIVE than she was at 66 (She died at 64). I'm younger than my 65 year old brother who had to retire due to medical reasons.. I retired due to having the "Credits" needed to retire.
I know lots of folks far younger than me according to their driver's license who you'd swear were older if you met us.
And I know some folks older than I who make me feel old as well.
