I put several thousand freeway miles on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited.
I thought the ride was great; perhaps it was because of the weight of the extra skid plates, winch, rocker sliders, oversize tires, Handi-Man Jack, and 30 gallon gas tank.
I drove it a couple of times from Central California to Bremerton, Washington, and then over I-90 to Montana.
No problems.
It is like many (if not most) other things, purely personal preference. NOTHING is "just right" for everyone! For instance, a Hummer is not right for me, I would never buy one. The chassis under my motorhome is the first Ford I have owned in many years. I still think the AMC Eagle was/is the greatest vehicle ever built for use in the "snobelt" states.
