Jeeps - Patriot vs Liberty vs Compass vs Cherokee

SO, still looking. DW still not crazy about the CRV. It's in our back pocket but we thought we would give the Jeep offerings a look. I don't know much about jeeps other than a wrangler - which we are ...

I had an '06 Liberty CRD years ago. It was a nice little vehicle, but turned out to be just a little small in the cargo compartment for us.
I also had an '05 Grand Cherokee, with the Hemi engine. Nice, but a little much.
Since you have eliminated the Wrangler, I just won't go there.
IMO, the Liberty would be just the ticket, based on what you have stated.
