NOTHING stays on the counters!
You will come to this revelation soon enough when things start flying around and get broken when you hit a road that isn't as smooth as glass. Putty, chewing gum, velcro, etc all can come loose.
The bed and the floor is the catch all for counter items when driving down the road. The coffee pot goes into the sink with the faucet pushed against it. 7 years and counting and still have the same pot! :C
