None of mine state anything about being refillable or non refillable.

NONE of the METAL HANDLE units are affected.

SOME, NOT "ALL" PLASTIC HANDLE UNITS ARE RECALLED.

IT CLEARLY SHOWS DETAILS ON WHAT IS AND IS NOT RECALLED.

There are TOP BUTTON units with plastic tops that are also affected which I did not snip pictures of but are also show in the video above.

the recall letter I got from Thor said my trailer MAY have kidde extinquishers affected by the recall and further indicated they don't track what extingquisher brand, model or SN goes into a trailer. They stated go the the kidde website to see if it was affected.

I used the online recall form within a few days after the recall hit. About a month later, the replacement arrived via Fed Ex with the return shipping label in box. Placed the old one in the box and added shipping label, called Fed Ex and within 24 hours they picked up off the patio for return.

Sent away for three back in November, two arrived within a couple of weeks, still waiting for the last one...

I got a notice, checked my fire extinguisher, looked at the web site, Yup it was on their list. Sent off for a replacement, and I think less than 3 weeks passed and the replacement is here.

We got the Thor letter; the Kidde on line process didn't accept input, called Kidde and did the wait thing. when I finally got a phone rep, the model #, S/N, and date code matched their recall data base. A 7 to 10 business day deliver was given also a reference # to call back on if needed. Hasn't been 10 days yet.
Rep also mentioned some people were having trouble with on line process.

I doubt Thor knows exactly which one went into your rig and are covering their butts.

I would believe what you got from Kidde's web site since they made them. However, I would check again at a later date just to make sure if they got added to the recall.

just got our 2 done. Called the number on the recall letter and all went well....issues handled very fast actually.
2 new coming within 10-14 days per customer service.
waiting and will see if they arrive as stated.
