I just went through the process of replacing all my old carpet with Traffic master allure vinyl plank flooring from home depot.. very easy to install, only need a utility knife and a heavy roller.
It was 90+ degrees when it was installed, has dropped to the 30s and back to the 80s a few times. I haven't had any expansion issues or raised spots. You leave a 1/4 gap at your walls and cover with quarter round molding.
