- _Sea_Of_No_CareExplorerOMG the news that snow is on the way makes me sick. Oh, no it doesn't I forgot, we're leaving in early November for 7 months this year, wife retired 2 weeks ago tomorrow. WHEW!! I was scared for a minute. It's our first time being away from winter. It sure makes fall a lot more enjoyable knowing that we don't have to stomach winter that follows.

OK, not being a foreigner, (at least not here), why is this ? :h
Late Sept my finger tips turn white and the old damaged frostbite starts. RV is already packed by then and just waiting. Being foreigners we can only stay 182 days..(we bring our own money and don't want a job)
so we try and leave late so we can have less snow when we come back in April.
-35C, frozen broken sewer lines and water pipes are not my idea of retirement. Lolling about in Florida is more to my liking. - notevenExplorer III

8 to 11 mpg for just about any rig in here and we are talking global warming? :) I'm not picking on you but the belief in GW and and riding off in an RV dont seem to go together. Sorry if you were joking but I didn't see a smiley.
yup I was joking :)
Here's another one for you: The glaciers that covered Canada and much of the northern USA at one time are still receding. Someone should be taxed so we can put them back. - SkiingSixPackExplorer

I am literally sitting in my man cave, aka "the box" looking at a rock we found about 60 miles north of us that has a small pothole in it from the receding glaciers. That was a mere 12,000 years ago! :) IMHO, follow the money to find the cause of "climate change." - Water-BugExplorerMichigan is surounded on six sides (2 peninsulas) by melted glacier and that happened BEFORE Henry Ford got here. :)
- hedgeExplorerI like snow, I really have no idea why people choose to live here if they don't. Then they just complain about the snow... just move already.
I guess I'm made of different stuff, I would only go farther north. I hate the heat and too many people as you go south. - bradykExplorerTurned out to be a record snowfall ever for yesterday here in Calgary. 11.8 cm officially and now they have a snowfall warning up for later today saying another 10-15 cm and 20 cm in some areas. So much for my camping in my 2 weeks holidays I am having right now.
- empty_nestExplorerI've had enough of this read......... I'm jumping to the "snowbird" threads.:C
- cpurvesExplorerOH BOY We are heading to Cochrane on Thursday
Shortest drive is down the Ice fields Parkway. Predictions are for warmer, I hope.
I'm bringing three 30lb bottles and hoping the roads are bare by then.
