- garyhauptExplorerSitting in St Mary's, Mt right now...Tuesday morning and it has been trying to snow all night. The NOAA website suggests the next couple 3 days will have a winter type storm all over this area.
Gary Haupt - bradykExplorerNext wave is tonight and tomorrow then it warms up. Shorts and tank tops by the weekend. Saying that with what we got yesterday and if we do get what they say tonite it will smash the monthly snow record for September and close to double it on the new record.
- 08UltraRiderExplorerI was thinking about sitting out on the deck this fine SUMMER afternoon but decided to service the snowblower instead!
- KJINTFExplorerBring on the snow & cold - does a wonderful job of keeping the tourists away
The Eastern side Rocky Mountain front got 6" today and expecting another several inches tomorrow. The Toursits have all gone or are headed home - It's time to get out and go fishing and RVing - free_radicalExplorer

I like snow, I really have no idea why people choose to live here if they don't. Then they just complain about the snow... just move already.
I guess I'm made of different stuff, I would only go farther north. I hate the heat and too many people as you go south.
I have to agree with you. Why not just move if the weather conditions do not suit you. As much as I love camping, summer and I don't mix well, fair skin, light hair, blue eyes. I get sun/heat stroke no matter what sunscreen I use or the amount of water I drink. In fact it is my least favourite season. I love winter but my body doesn't, Raynauds, osteoarthritis etc. We don't seem to get spring and fall for long, maybe 2 weeks, LOL
No matter where we live the grass will look greener or whiter, LOL, on the other side, so we might as well put up, shut up and make the best of things. - pnicholsExplorer III will grant ya this ... what we need is more 4X4 motorhomes, TTs, and 5'ers for just such things as snow camping! :B

Many of us were born into it, had no say in the matter, and DID move out of it as soon as economically feasible. Only wish We were able to do it sooner in life. While we do get a few inches of snow a winter, we don't get the 7 month winters we used to get in northern NY. Thank God !

More evidence of global warming.
8 to 11 mpg for just about any rig in here and we are talking global warming? :) I'm not picking on you but the belief in GW and and riding off in an RV dont seem to go together. Sorry if you were joking but I didn't see a smiley.
Where did 06Fargo's original post that you quoted go? Did the mods find it politically insensitive and delete it?
Bruce - kampinggalExplorerWe had 30 degree weather (at night) in August this year...so what's a little snow? That's why I got a heater and an electric blanket on the bed, not giving up my camping yet this year.
