All too common today with just about everything sold! Icemaker on Whirlpool fridge broke, $90 replacement component for $3 plastic part.
about an hour to fabricate little plastic part and replace. I'll work for $90 hour anytime.
Whirlpoop knows this is a problem as it happened to the last one I had and is common question on DIY forums.
I am upset things are like this, grateful I know how to do the things I do and always wonder what people who don't know how to do anything survive.
