But there are an infinite number of the short ones…
Sometimes I believe they are just used to add to their personal post count and not to add input…
Hard to imagine someone writing a long post for such reasons…

Too Long, Didn't Read

I can't understand the hubris that would drive someone to post that. What is the poster who responds in that matter trying to say to the OP?

I also will apologize for a long post. I also will say in person "Please bear with me", if I know my explanation might be a little long.

if you have to apologize for your post, why type it in the first place? :)

if the subject matter truly is interesting I will read. If it doesn't hold my attention I might skip thru the paragraphs or not bother at all.

Like another said it is your nickel. have at it!

I am not the grammer, spelling, or style police but some posts are just unreadable when there are no line breaks, no capitalization/punctuation where it should be, or just plain doesn't convey a comprehendible idea.

Most post state opinion or offer information with no reasons for the beliefs, or backup and/or links to the information… they are often close to useless IMHO…

But none is more useless than if someone ask for specific info on their unit, and gets 10 recommendations from those who claim it’s perfectly ok because they have done it… but there is no reason to believe the vastly different units have anything in common that the same thing would even work, or even be safe to do…

I am not here to teach or be taught English, grammar, or spelling and I always have to choice the read or skip it…

Now reading comprehension seems to always be a problem… but much of that is one intentionally changing the words or the meaning of another’s post to benefit themselves, their thoughts, or their ideas, and the rest are comprehension or replying to what was not read…

Right or wrong??? Who knows… but it is normal in any public forum where many see the same things differently…

I see a lot of posts where someone has to tell the date, time, highway, direction headed, who all was going and then go on and say they lost a lug nut, wondering if they should check the others.
