More to the point, the article said HE DRILLED INTO THE PROPANE LINE BY MISTAKE. What type of mechanics are they hiring that can't tell what a propane line looks like on an RV, I mean it's the ONLY steel line there!!!!

Maybe he was drilling a section of sheet metal and didn't realize the line was behind it?

Did you ever hear of someone getting burnt while using a torch to cut a gas tank off a car?
Some people just don't think before they act.

Probably an avoidable mistake, but aren't they all! Poor guy, burns are the worst.

Looks RVs make great kindling.

This is the prime reason you must know what is behind the wall you are drilling.

Four RVs were destroyed by fire at La Mesa RV..

Since they don't park new RV's for sale by the service dept. Sadly that means that the other three were customer owned RV's dropped off for service or prep too. How sad is that.

I wonder how the insurance will work. ??

Will the Facility buy the customers coaches ?
Or
Will the owners file a claim, then their insurance company subrogate to the Masa RV insurance?

I hope this gets sorted out quickly.

I think it falls back on the individual RV owners insurance. The RV owners insurance companies can sue, or even the RV owners can, but I believe the initial claim goes to the RV owners insurance.

I remember two similar issues - A boat dealership where a frustrated employee destroyed most of it with a bulldozer, and high winds that came through and knocked over several 5th wheels. In both cases, the owners had to cover their own, however in the case of the bulldozer, most recovered their costs by insurance companies suing the business owners insurance. Unfortunately the owner was also personally sued and he lost everything.
