Map decal

I have one of the map decals on the side of my motorhome. Being in south Texas the hot sun has cooked it, the white parts are now brown and the state decals are peeling up. Has anyone had good luck with removing these. I would like to get it off and get one that sticks with the rubber hooks.
Thank you Don Smith

  • You can use a hair dryer of heat gun to warm up the adhesive and use a plastic scrapper. Then get some adhesive remover at the auto parts store to get rid of the gum.. As Camper Paul said WD-40 is known to work also.
  • Spray it with WD-40, wait a couple of hours and slowly peel it off.

    A plastic ice scraper helps.
