Missing Camper

That is the problem with cell phones. I cant remember people's phone numbers anymore! Sheesh

Looks like a really good reason to keep the Forest Service people on the job and not mess with budgets doesn't it? We all have our purpose on earth and this proves it again.

My Dad is 80 and in great health, but he is out and about with his fifth wheel in many areas that do not have cell service.

He carries a SPOT GPS with him that records his location on a web map. I can log in and see where he is. No cell service required. It SPOTS him on a map every 10 minutes.

It also has a 911 feature and a "send help but I am ok" button.

Great peace of mind. The cost is also very reasonable.

It was close to SkipnChar's scenario, when she talked to him he said he had a Forest Ranger standing at his door!!!!
