More fun than we could find on tv

We were at a campground over the weekend not surprise there for any of us. Anyway a way huge f'ver came in and they had a heck of a time getting backed in. By the time the dw and I realized what was going on there were 3 pickups and at least five guys at the site trying to help so we just sat down in lawn chairs and watched. They finally got backed in but man what a show, they must have been at it for 20 minutes with help. Glad they had good neighbors. I think they were in a bit over their head. The next guy pulls up and backs his f'ver in next to us so we have a second show to watch he circled that rig twice before he lowered the front legs then he proceeds to open a beer and stand there look at the thing for a few minutes finally hooking up sewer and water. Finally after the whole family shows up and they have supper he unhooks the truck, but still hasn't put the back jacks down. The dw figured his main concern was food and who was going to feed him. He sure was nice to camp hostess dw figured he was hoping she would take pity but she had other issues to deal with. As you all know you can't bring fire wood into a campground the whole ash bore thing. The group 2 sites over from us were a group of young folks in an older but nice small motorhome. They had gone scrounging around for firewood and were cutting up a couple of large limbs with a very small hatchet. My dw being a nurse by profession was trying to figure what to use as a tourniquet once the woodcutter had cut his foot off and where to land the helicopter. They really were going at until that camp hostess finished with checking in our neighbor, she immediately marched over and informed that group they couldn't forage for wood as they pleased upon which they tossed the uncut limbs back into the brush to the great relief of the dw. Meanwhile our neighbor had roamed inside and came back out with a bag of chips and a loaf of bread. In all it was a rather interesting evening. Makes us wonder what people think of us when we pull in and set up, which is why we get there a day early and mid day at that.
