A guy I know moved his production of his widget to China, with some tight contract controls on the manufacturer.
Then he started seeing "grey market" imports of his widget, duplicated down his customer service phone number on the documents.
Turned out the owner of the factories "cousin" owned a neighboring factory that was producing the copies
