I think the point is that the one billion plus people in China won't be available as a market for Ford pickups - they will be buying the Kawei K1 instead. That won't help the job market in the USA!

Ford doesn't sell the F150 truck over there..so there is a Niche for cheap knock off...of the design
Also copying the design with changes and using a different brand label
Is not identical to counterfeiting the whole thing and selling it BRANDED as the original
The knock offs are sold to the home market...openly
Conterfieted goods are shipped to illegal importers world wide
Trade Mark courts are involved in both cases , depending on a variety of factors
