The Ford F-250 is the only truck with a high percentage of USA content. But the fuel going into the truck is coming from overseas as are the tires and most of the electronics. I will believe people really care about American jobs when they stop shopping at Wal-Mart.
This is a list of the top cars and trucks based on USA content in 2014
1. Ford F-150 pickup / Toyota Tundra pickup 75% USA
2. Toyota Camry sedan
3. Honda Odyssey van
4. Toyota Sienna van
5. Toyota Tundra pickup
6. Toyota Avalon sedan
7. Chevy Corvette Stingray roadster
8. Honda Ridgeline pickup
9. Honda Crosstour SUV
10. Dodge Viper SRT roadster
Is your car or truck on this list? If you exclude the two roadsters and look at the top 8 passenger cars and trucks, there is the one Ford truck and everything else is coming from factories in the USA that are owned by Japanese corporations. I would not count cars and trucks made in the south or in Mexico as none of these places pay fair wages.
Me thinks cost of living is way less in Mexico so those wages might be just appropriate?
I'll stop shopping at Walmart when I get better price somewhere else.
I don't know where the parts for my Silverado came from or where it was built but after 6 years it has been so totally reliable I don't see myself ever buying anything else..
I was considering buying new vehicle so to learn more about them I searched "Toyota and Titan truck problems" on YT and the net and the results of that shocked me back to reality real quick,,those things have such serious problems I'd never buy it,,
