We are experiencing our first year of camping and have only been able to go three times so far. None of our neighbors have been overly friendly but they haven't been bad neighbors either. Just doing their own thing. We are very conscious of our noise levels, respecting our neighbors privacy and their campsite boundaries but we did have one incident where our neighbors had two dogs. When they would do their business, they did it at the edge of our campsite and their owners didn't clean it up. We had to remove it to get rid of the smell. We didn't allow it to bother us as we were enjoying our time away from home and they seemed like nice enough people. We didn't want to risk a decent neighbor situation with one that ended up being a not so nice neighbor so we kept quiet about it. When you don't know someone, sometimes the slightest request can turn ugly while other times it's no big deal but when you are camping for only a few days, why take that chance! We have found that some campers will say hello when we walk around the campgrounds while others don't and that's fine too. We're looking forward to one day meeting some people and becoming friends but so far we've only had cordial neighbors. I have noticed though that when pulling in or when leaving, many people wave which is nice.
