We just got back from our second camping trip. We went to Keen Lake in PA. Of course, we drew an audience as soon as we pulled in. They must have smelled the new camper or saw the sweat on my forehead...

we were boondocking in a gravel pit this summer on a fishing trip. We were enjoying our campfire and relaxing before bed when a man with a young girl parked next to us. they had been fishing all evening. we saw him struggling to get his fire going in the light rain while the girl was complaining about being hungry. My 13 yr old son took a couple burning logs over and helped him get his fire going in no time. They cooked some hot dogs and we invited them to join us for some marshmallows. My son felt good to help them out and I felt very proud of him for being helpful and thoughtful. We have always enjoyed helping out new campers, and making new friends.
