My sleep sucks
Brand new TT, queen size bed. Added a foam topper and thick goose down like topper and finally the bed is soft enough and thick enough. BUT... I'm cramped. Can't toss and turn because overhead storage...

the master bedroom is #1 priority for us also. if my bedroom and sleeping is great, then the rest of the camper is just fluff. sleep is super important but like others said, I can sleep anywhere---after a long day having fun I could sleep on bricks also :) :)
IF YOU CAN do it easily, I would grade up and shop a new camper. it almost sounds like nothing you can do will get you more length.
if I was you and you guys need room....wouldn't settle for less than a king bed situation. good luck
