My smoke dectector doesn't like bacon!

Even without the alarm my nose can detect bacon even if I am 3 sites upwind of your stove. :C

I had the same problem. Went to home depot and bought one that's made for kitchen use. No more problem. I don't cherish the thought of removing the battery. You could end up like the bacon. Good luck.

Remember, When you go to sleep, your nose also is sleeping. Not the safest fire safety plan.

My smoke detector goes off every time I take a shower! Simple moisture sets it off.

I don't remove the battery, I remove the whole detector and put it under the bed pillow. that way I don't forget to reinstall it before going to bed. Works for me.

I use disposable sh0wer cap or those plastic bowl covers with elastic in them and just slap one over smoke detector until I'm done cooking......easier than removing battery
