Might as well it's winter and I'm bored :B. So we already have the barking dog thread. Let's get it out of our system. Did I miss any? What gets your goat?
You tell me yours I'll tell you mine
People who RV; knowing full well that they will be around other people, kids, dogs, smoke, etc in camgrounds then sit around and whine about like babies. - BurbManExplorer II

The world would be a better place if we all followed this rule.MPI_Mallard wrote:
mostly though I get a kick outta' those campers who get miffed by kids having fun, smoke from campfires n' BBQ's or smokers, friends sitting around at night enjoying each other's company at a campfire or playing left/right/center making noise before posted quiet time...these folks should stay in their condo's.

A camp ground that was named "Deliverance" :E - MPI_MallardExplorerDad always said "leave your campsite better than you found it" and I guess he was one of the few that taught that I suppose, mostly though I get a kick outta' those campers who get miffed by kids having fun, smoke from campfires n' BBQ's or smokers, friends sitting around at night enjoying each other's company at a campfire or playing left/right/center making noise before posted quiet time,,,these folks should stay in their condo's.

Not the entire campground but I know a older couple who rent a entire area of the campground for the season. They are very nice people, just like some privacy.
Here's a plan. Next time out, call ahead and reserve the entire campground for just you. Problems solved. Happy trails.. - colliehaulerExplorer III

What really gets me is those quiet dark campgrounds with no pets and kids and friendly neighbors... If I wanted all that peace I might as well stay home... - ken56ExplorerI can agree that kids will be kids and dogs will be dogs. There are some campers that are not tolerant of such things and will complain at the slightest disturbance which to me is the same as being an inconsiderate slob who doesn't think the rules apply to them, even the basic rules of civility. Yep, we are free to leave, but what about the week I paid for in advance with a no refund policy? I complain to management about any serious infraction, not kids or dogs. Again, why is basic consideration of others such an imposition on some people? Its not hard to be quiet after quiet hours are in effect.....is that too much to ask? I guess for some it is. Can't pick up after your dog? then let him******on your own site. You have a right to smoke? then pick up the butts, don't litter them all around the camp site. Is that too much to ask?? Just because you may be in a "public" campground doesn't mean there are no rules.
- BCSnobExplorerHow long until we add the neighbor's drone flying overhead to the long list of complaints?
- stew47ExplorerLol I hope my two boys and three dogs aren't the cause of this discussion. Seriously that boy in the shower house should've had a boat oar taken to his backside!! The state park we usually go to has really large lots which keep neighbors at a good distance.
