There is no debate on MAX GVWR and GCVWR ratings because if you exceed them you are wrong.
The debate on tire inflation comes from three things
1: The prssures on the sticker (Nearly always wrong)
2: The pressure mentioned on the sidewall (The MAXIMUM pressure used only if you are hauling the MAXIMUM load which is also on the side wall)
3: The CORRECT pressure determined by rollong the wheel over a scale (You need wheel (not tire) weights not Axle Weights and the Tire Company chart
Some like to add 5 PSI to the tire company chart.. Myself among them, but I wont argue the point. This paragraph is as strong as I get on that issue.
