Oops, I Did It Again! :-)

You want an easier way to do it? My projector has RCA video inputs. I have a small DVD player that has a coax input. Just attach coax from the outside TV jack to the DVD player and then an RCA cable from the DVD into the projector. Instant satellite TV in big screen.

I've posted this information before but I'm more then happy to share it again. It may sound technical but everything is really easy to put together and use.

First off, it all starts at home because you need a high speed internet connection.

Next, you need a slingbox. A slingbox is a device that gets hooked up between your TV and cable box, just like a VCR might have been a few years ago. The slingbox also needs to be attached to your home network via ehternet cable or wifi. The slingbox has a small, wired transmitter that you put in front of the electric eye receiver of your cable box. Once setup, the slingbox allows you to watch your home TV from just about any internet connection in the world. Iphone, Ipod, Ipad, Laptop, Desktop, Anrdoid, etc... You can control your cable box from your viewing device just like you were at home in front of the TV. You can use the DVR to rewind, pause, record and even watch previously recorded programs while away from home.

OK, now I'm at the campground. Luckily, this campground has free wifi so I brought along my laptop and my projector. I simply use a standard VGA cable to connect my laptop to my projector and then open the slingbox program on my laptop. Whatever I'm watching on my laptop is then projected onto the camper.

I only break out the projector for special events like the NASCAR race, football games and maybe a game or movie night.

Another great aspect of the slingbox is that I can use it to watch TV while in the camper too. I can just set the laptop on the table and I'll have access to every single channel I have at home. There is also NO MONTHLY FEE to use the slingbox. You simply pay the cost of the device which ranges from like $160-$500 depending on features. That's it. Nothing more. If I want a larger screen then I go HDMI out from my laptop into my camper TV.

Friday night we showed movies on the side of one of the 5th wheelers. But I bring a white sheet and four tarp clips and four bungee cords. Makes a perfect screen.........Jose Wales and popcorn were the features!

Cowboy Action Shooting the next day so it got us in the mood!
