- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIGreat set up, I love it! Id be over there in a heartbeat. Do you serve popcorn with your movies? lol
I have to say that I fully expected all the regulars to chime in on their displeasure with this type of exterior entertainment..... you cant please everyone all of the time.....you can park next to me anytime. - BB_TXNomadAs long as the program sound and the related talking and laughing that goes along with it are within reason, and if all is shutdown by listed quiet time (if in an RV park) it would be ok. But like some others, I hope I am never parked next to you.
And it has nothing to do with NASCAR or any other sporting event. I like sports as much as the next person, but not necessarily the same sports as the person next to me. And there are probably programs I like that you would not want me projecting on wide screen next to you for you to see and have to listen to. - goducks10Explorer

Yes, outdoor speakers but not loud enough to leave the site.
I highly doubt that unless you mean earbuds/headphones. Yes, to each their own, so please let me have my peace and quiet!
If you want to go there, then yes. I was getting the TV signal from my laptop and the laptop was providing the video for the projector. The audio from the laptop went in to an FM transmitter and we had a small boombox right by our seats.
So yes, not loud enough to leave the site, especially when you turn the bass down.
I think you were trying to keep the entertainment contained and that's cool. We take an XM boom box with us camping. We like to listen to music at times when camping. We like to sit by the fire with the boom box 3-4' from us so only we can hear it. More power to you if you trying to contain the sound. - D___MExplorer

Here's a picture from our site last weekend.
(snip)
Does anyone else do something like this?
Yes, quite often, and it always seems that the little crowds that show up enjoy themselves. A lot of parents seem to be doing this for their kids and the other little ceumb snatchers in the CG, showing cartoons or Disney movies. Good for them. But next time, get a scren. The logo-in-the-picture is kind of tacky LOL.
Maybe some of the grouchy old folks that want to hate on NASCAR and other sports events, and want to control what others do, should try things like this.
And save sending me rules and regulations from a thousand different campground. They all read the same and I have been reading them for over twenty years. I don't think I can rmember when my RV neighbors did something that upset me so much that I had to whine about it to the world. All I can say is that if you don't like it, don't look. - jtrent6415Explorer

HAHA, me either. Camping in Nebraksa during a husker game - lots of TVs on at the campsites.
If we here close by, we would have joined you! - KarenS144ExplorerLOL! Ya'll crack me up. Pick pick pick.
We drag a fairly small by today's standards 36" flat screen out and set up for NASCAR & maybe a few football games if we're camping with friends. We'll have this weekend's race on. No doubt with a blender plugged in too. We won't have the sound cranked up and the sites here are huge so we're not sitting on top of each other anyway.
Last night, our neighbor had a huge TV going. We could see the light from it if we looked in their direction but never heard it.
Sort of a funny story... a few years ago, we were camping with 2 other couples...all of us UK Wildcat fans... and if you follow the SEC, know UK football sucks. We were playing S. Carolina and Steve Spurrier which are mortal enemies. The CG wasn't full since it was October but the radio wasn't really that loud and we were trying to keep the cheers and shouts to a minimum but we we WON, the cheers broke out...not only from us but from all across the CG! Too funny. We and apparently most everyone else were trying not to disturb anyone else but we were all listening to or watching the same game and pulling for the same team. We could have had a BIG party if we'd only known!
Yes... we like quiet and solitude and try to be respectful of our neighbors but we can suck it up and put up with somethings and do rather than spend time plotting revenge or arming ourselves with pellet guns.
To the OP...get a tarp so you won't have tire marks & torn up decals on the side of your RV. :D - _DJ_1Explorer III know what I would do if you set that circus up next to me. I would put on my WAR FACE and MARCH over there and look very very thirsty!!!! :B
I am not much of a NAASCAR fan but for free beer I could endure it!!!!
I rarely use a campground but when necessity dictates, I don't expect to have a pristine boondocking experience. Especially packed in as close as any inner city ghetto!!! - longislandcampeExplorer

True, but we camp at the ocean so you always have the crushing sound of waves all day long to help muffle any sound created in your site. - georgelesleyExplorerSound, including laughter, loud voices, etc travel very well at night. - dwayneb236ExplorerLots of negativity as usual here. I always know if I'm having too good of a day I can come into this forum and be dissappointed in humanity immediately. Brings me back to earth knowing there are so many grumps out there. We have no idea of the circumstances here. We don't know the time, We don't know the location, We don't know if the neighbors were asked, We don't know anything other than what we see in the pic. I have to say, for me. No big deal.
