porch light lens replacement

Maybe u folks can help. Lost my porch light lens on the road..called Jayco..no luck..went to dealer no luck..go to Camping World..they have a generic lens doesn't fit my trailer..tried e bay no luck.. Do I have to replace the whole porch light or is there a plan B? I guess I could just tape it but that's pretty lame. Any thoughts please?

It might just be as cheap to install a new light. I think I paid about 8 bucks for a new one last year.
  • Plan B- find an Independent RV Supply store that has been in business for a long time. They may have one.

Plan C- if you can get the manufacturer and part number for your light fixture and contact an RV Salvage company to see if they would have a lens.

Plan D- Replace with an LED upgrade.
  • Yes I forgot to mention that trailer is a 2007 Jayco feather Lite 218
Thanks and I will take a look at that website.
  • There is an aftermarket motion sensitive porch light that replaces many stock units. Should be easy to retrofit.
  • X2 on the aftermarket motion sensitive porch light. That is what I did.
  • The factory lights are so cheap and almost useless. I got tired of replacing lenses and bought a Smart Light. It is a really great light, has a built in IR/motion detector, LED, actually produces usefull light and does not require any switch mods.

  • I've been looking for a replacement lense for a couple years.

Wish that Smart Light had an adjustable on time after motion sensing.
  • Have a picture of the lens you are looking for? A have a few spare sitting around.
