Question on sewer at full hook-up site

Where I winter in Yuma it's the law, must be off the ground.

in 3 different trailers I have never used one. Never needed one and never been told I had to have one.

Just seems like another worthless gadget to me.

I never leave the sewer hose connected.When tank is full, I get it out, use it, and put it back.

Thus no need to use a support.

I've only used my slinky a couple of times when the CG Sewer receiver protruded more than 6".

I forget where is was but it was a state law that a hose support be used. Just buy one, they're cheap and don't take up too much room.

So I use one all the time I have yet a need to rinse out the slinky at disconsolate as all the solids roll down hill!!!!

I keep all drain valves shut when hooked up. You never know when a parks sewer system will backup!!!

Time to drain, Black 1st, sometimes with the black tank flusher going sometimes not. Once done I shut the valve.

Next I drain the galley tank, mostly clean water maybe a little food and grease residue, we wipe plates and get most off before washing. Once done I shut the valve.

Last is Grey water tank shower and bathroom sink, this is basically clean soapy water, I will jiggle the slinky a bit while this is draining. Once that is done the inside of the slink is clean and ready to be stored in the 5" vinyl fence post storage tube under the 5er along with the clear 45 degree elbow, and the 90 degree elbow.

Some campgrounds they are required,usually by local ordnances just check the rules of the campground you are going to.

I have the one you posted and use it to protect my hose from rocks that may put pinholes in the sewer hose,been there done that and it is no fun to have a leak and having to buy a new hose,plus it gives a better slope for better drainage.

Some campgrounds require them, a lot of others don't. The basic idea is to prevent sticks and sharp stones from damaging the hose and causing leaks. I have one but don't use it every time I camp. I let the conditions dictate when I use it.

I have stayed in some parks that required them, mostly in South Texas where the ground was mostly gravel and they feared that the hose would be cut and develop a leak.

There are some parks that require the black hose be off the ground. You definitely will need either a donut or a real screw on sewer fitting.
