Read the park rules folks !

We are on the beach at Long Key state Park and yesterday a new rig pulled in beside us.
As they were setting up they let their dog run loose.
It ran around the beach, and then ran into the water.
Then the lady joined it, playing in the water.

The rules that are given out to everyone specifically state No dogs allowed on the beach or in the water.

Another rule states all dogs must be on a leash no longer then 6 feet.

Read the rules folks !

  • We have a dog, 96 lbs of black lab which has never met anyone she won't love to pieces. But we keep her on a lead when the rules require it. Some folks are intimidated by her size, some just don't like dogs, and there are even people who fear dogs of any size, let alone big dogs. They all have as much right to be there as we do. We prefer parks with loose rules that allow well behaved dogs, but follow the rules. We'd also prefer others do the same.

So, did management come over and invite them to park in a Different park or are the rules just wasted ink on wasted paper?
  • Well, when the cute loose dog bites your grand daughter or a "floater" is 2 feet away from you when you go swimming you may reconsider why there are rules.
We have 2 dogs and we keep them where they belong. I will contact the Ranger every time I see this, and pepper spray any loose dog that aggressively approaches.
I guess some people in here don't read the news.
  • Call the national guard!!!!! Let's not sweat the small stuff....
Nobody was getting hurt. They where just enjoying life.
  • rules are for law abiding people! you should no that by now. lol
