As you have found out, there are lots of us on here that use the ReadyBrake system, are very happy with it, and will have no other system.
It just seems like a no-brainer decision: Comes at a small fraction of the cost of all other system, nothing to have to put in or take out when hitching and unhitching, and no electronics to foul up, just simple cable-operated braking. Anything that may eventually break or wear out, you can repair yourself with parts found at a hardware store for less than $20. I personally won't own any other braking system.
