Reflectix 'panels' for winter storage?

I saw a pretty cool setup that used Reflectix glued to Coroplast (the corrugated plastic normally used for signs.) On the other side of the Reflectix was tacked on an inexpensive blanket, mainly for looks and sound deadening ability.

For a class "C", this, coupled with some Velcro spots would separate the cab from the rest of the rig.

For keeping critters and bugs out, since my rig is quite out of warranty, I went with screens on the inlets and outlets on my furnace. Same with my refrigerator and water heater. Small spiders are one thing... Hornets or mud dauber wasps can plug a flue and cause major problems.

You can double up Reflectix easily by using 3m spray adhesive, spray a little on both pieces than stick them together.

I use these double upped panels on all our windows when the camper is in our open lot storage facility and under extreme weather conditions when on the road.

I cut mine to fit the doors and then used the stainless steel tape all around the edges to anchor it. Same thing in the basement.....cut all the pieces then taped it wherever it needed it.

What I did to make Reflectix panels for the inside of the outside storage doors was to measure the size of the door, cut a Reflectix panel to fit, then cut pieces of Velcro tape and attached to the Reflectix. I would have the part that sticks to the inside of the door already stuck to its mate on the Reflectix, then just press the Reflectix panel on the inside of the door. This would leave the 1/2 of the Velcro stuck to the inside of the door. This handles lining up the two halves of the Velcro strip.

We normally do not have the extra Reflectix in position unless we are going out in some cold conditions.

For those that put reflectix on storage doors or cabinets, please post some how to's and pictures. I would like to do more to help insulate, but am not sure how to attach the stuff.

I did reflectix on all my inside cabinets that were on the outside walls ....my basement storage and storage doors.

In my HTT the reflectix panels were a necessity in summer and winter. When I bought the Class C, although not as necessary I use them on all but two windows most of the time, dependent upon location and temps. The panels make a big difference in maintaining ambient temperatures as well as keeping UV rays from working on the interior. And I really appreciate when sunrise is not an automatic wake up call.

I have reflectix in all my windows on my TT... helps keep sun out when it is hot and cold air out during our few cold days... Leave them in bedroom windows more often than not, as they make great "blackout shades" allowing me to sleep without being disturbed by cars in campground or folks that think they need a million lights on their RV to be "safe" in a state park. I also like the fact that when I do park truck and trailer to go in WalMart, grocery store or other location, no one can see in my TT, to have any idea of what I may have or the fact that mine is decorated kinda "girley" since I travel alone.

I made Reflectix panels for sun protection. They do a good job.
If I camped in cold weather, I'd make them for all the windows.

We have it in our windows when in storage, and they are nice to have on those days where we are in direct sun. They are easy enough to pop in or our and store real easy.
