Removing loveseat out of camper

The loveseat (couch) is one that has a air mattress in it that folds out to make bed. All metal frame and very heavy, the back does not come off or the cushions out. Door is 28 inches wide, from floor till top of arms 28 inches but back is 31 inches tall. Just wondering if there was a secret to getting it out that I was missing?

  • Got it out!!! Got 2 strong young men to help and wiggled it out the door. Not to find something to replace it with. Thanks for all the help.
  • Had a sofa/hide-a-bed.....way to big to get out of the 5ver. Disassembled what I could(metal bed part....unscrewed everything I could) and finally cut whatever I had to and got it out. In went a simple loveseat.
  • Was easier to remove my rear window to get the new bigger couch in, told the DW she'll have to wear it out for a long time, LOL
  • RV furniture is expensive and there is a buyer out there for most everything so I would not suggest the saws all method. We sold our folding sofa bed for a pretty penny when we replaced it. It fit in there so it will come out also. Hire a couple foot ball player kids from the high school to get it out and have the replacement ready to go back in and let them do the lifting.
  • You might consider tying it in the closed position. when jockying it around there is the potential of opening and closing on fingers. Fingers lose.
  • Most front and side panels are just attached with screws to the frame, look closely and try to strip everything down to the bare frame. Then follow previous note.
  • Get several friends to help. Big guys. Offer beers after it is out. If it is really ad, offer steaks.
  • You have to turn the couch on end, then L it out the door, just like in a house if its a chair or table that is too big to fit.
