Replace Cooktop With Unit With Oven

We often camp without power, so a propane oven works for us.

Conventional Oven or Convection Microwave seems to be the options.

I am pretty sure I can do the oven conversion. Also, the convection microwave should I go that route I assume would have to be a rated for RV unit for proper venting?

For you cooks out there what is the real difference between cooking with a Oven vs a Convection Microwave?

Putting a pizza stone or unglazed ceramic tile on the bottom shelf of your oven will help it heat much more evenly. Either one is widely available. Target has one for about $17. Just give it a longer than normal pre-heat before putting in your pizza. It also works well for breads, cakes, etc.

The install should not be too hard if you have a few good tools and some handyman skills.

DW would also not having an oven a deal breaker! She loves to bake and we have some awesome dishes out of the oven. Baked Game Hens are very good.

I changed our in our Imperial and it was not that bad.We had drawers under the cooktop and I just removed 2 drawers and put a piece of oak facing under the oven and it looks like a factory install.
The gas line hooks up at the back behind the rear burner on the cooktop. It was the same location on the oven. I reconeected it and checked the connection with a soapy solution and no bubbles no leaks. Hope that helps.

You can make pizza, cookies, roasted chicken. Convection microwave is 21st century. In fact the cookies I always got from the oven were burned on bottom. convection they are perfect top and bottom.
