All hardware is good. I only want to replace fabric, but was not sure if it could be purchased without all the hardware.

Search the WWW for "replacement awning fabric".

I can tell you that this is a BARGAIN unless the price of the fabric is more than a hundred dollars over other "fabric only" prices.
The cost of anything from CW can be hundreds of dollars more than rest of the market place. :B
I watched a newbie replace his fabric with his wifes help. The only trouble he ran into was failing to properly load the spring before reinstalling the fabric. It wasnt prewound with enough turns and wouldnt fully roll the awning in. So off the fabric came and wind wind wind later back on it went.
It worked great after that. They had zero issue with getting the fabric in and out once they learned how to work with each other. It was like watching yellers try and back each other in. And that was worth the price of admission. :B - parkdepExplorerUsed this to replace my fabric Replacement Awning Fabrics

And researching your $39 statement, I find that one has to purchase the product from CW to have it installed for $39.

Having done fabric replacement on more than one awning (too many friends!) I can tell you that this is a BARGAIN unless the price of the fabric is more than a hundred dollars over other "fabric only" prices.
Good to know. And CW guarantees the lowest price so I can't see how someone could go wrong. Bruce likes to do the work which is fine. I was just trying to help the OP make a decision. - rockhillmanorExplorer~ Call your local RV Mobile Repair Guy! ~
Just call the closest CG and ask the owners who they use for Mobile RV Repair and CALL them!
He will have down and replaced and working faster than you taking the time to read the instructions.
Been there done that. They know what they are doing and the price was real fair and they get the a great price on the fabric for you.
THE best part is you don't even have to move the RV. Just pull up a chair and open a cold one and sit back and watch. :B - Francesca_KnowlExplorer

As a Good Sam member you can have it installed at CW for $39. I wouldn't mess with it for that.
The nearest CW is 35 miles from us. We'd have to make an appointment, drive over there, wait around while they (hopefully) get it done that day, then pay and head home. I had a lot more fun by doing it myself and while I was at it, documenting the process for others.
Plus that, and while my info says I'm a GS member, I haven't been for several years now.

The fine print: - Dr_QuickExplorer III recently gave these directions to someone else on the RV Net, and he wrote me back and thanked me, as he said he was done in an hour. This is how I helped my neighbor replace two awnings. You will need two helpers. Flip "open catch" and pull awning about 2 or 3 inches. Unhook bottom end of legs and drop leg to ground using extension legs to take weight of awning. Unbolt top bolts to trailer and take out screw that keeps awning in place from sliding back and forth. Get one person on each end of awning and slide it out of track. Lay awning on ground and place a block of wood or a pail under each end near tube. DO NOT TRY TO TAKE AWNING ARMS OFF ENDS OF SHAFT.KEEPING IT ATTCHED KEEPS SPRINGS FROM UNWINDING. Unwrap fabric from tube. Drill out pop rivets at rear, non-catch end of tube. Slide end cap off tube 2 or 3 inches to allow clearance to slide fabric off.(DO NOT PULL ALL THE WAY OUT AS SPRING WILL UNWIND. SPRING IS ABOUT 18 INCHES LONG.) Slide new fabric on, and re wrap fabric. Slide end cap in place and pop rivet. Get one person at each end of awning support, and have third on ladder to guide awning into rail. Once awning is in place, bolt to trailer, center fabric between supports and install screw. Lift legs in to lower catches. Flip ratchet lock and awning will close. This way you do not have to deal with springs.

BruceMc...thanks for the install information. I just wish more instructions were as percise and photo documented as yours. Bravo!
