rude campers.

All the years I have been camping I have never ran across such rude people as I did this past weekend. Here are a few suggestions.
When someone has to step a couple of feet into your site so they can see the tree limb is going to miss the top of their camper as it is being backed into their site, dont come running out of your camper with your arms in the air yelling at them to get off your site. Instead, help them keep an eye on it also.
When you are taking a morning stroll and a couple passes you and says " good morning" it wouldn't hurt for you to say "good morning" back.
When somebody next to you compliments your awning lights, don't just look up at them and say nothing. How about saying thank you and possibly let them know where you got them at.

These are just a couple things I witnessed or encountered this past weekend.

    We have a length of yellow chain a with a occupied sign on it that we use along with two orange cones to show our site is occupied if we leave the site. This year we had to put it across our site to keep people from walking through our site to get to a trail that was located behind us. The trailhead was clearly marked less than 30 feet away. And we were told we were rude

    As I get older I find that some people, actually most people really only care about themsleves and have zero consideration for others.

    I'm willing to bet you're getting less tolerant as you age.

    Can't anyone post a positive thread any more? I understand the need to vent, but jeez louise does ANYBODY on this forum look for the good things in people?

    Today we pulled the boat up to shore and an SUV was parked in such a way to almost block the ramp. Rather than offer to move their SUV they just let their very large boxers run all over the place along the shore line. They jumped up on my boat got mud every where and would not mind their owners. I was able to back around them in an L-shaped way and got out of the truck to tie/lock it on the trailer. The dogs tried to jump into my truck wet & muddy. I bit my tongue and finished loading and drove off (not before I opened the front and back doors of their SUV). They did not see me do it and I don't know if the dogs used them. Just tried to help them.

    Oh no. That would have gotten a full retort right back in a manner that would have let them know they should avoid me the rest of their stay. :B

    I never have had a real problem, when I encounter other people in a public setting. Of course, I figure I have met all the people that I care to meet in my lifetime. If someone doesn't want to speak to me, I'm okay with that! If they want to be friendly-that's fine, too!

    We are fortunate...we don't have to camp and don't on one of the BIG 3 holidays. (Labor Day, The 4th, Memorial Day).

    No guarantee that there won't be 'rudeness' at other times, but these three weekends always seem to be the worse and the most zooy.

    If you just stay alert you can always find something/somebody that is doing something to irritate you. Sometimes you really have to dig deep to find the right button to push but it can be done. So going forwards, don't settle into that lounge chair with a cold drink and relax..you gotta stay alert to recognize these sources of irritant and spew about it instead of relaxing.
    Gotta go, there goes that kid on the bicycle again with those plastic training wheels..........

    Watched a woman with her dog last weekend at Hershey, cross the road from her site to ours so it could pee in our grass and then walk back across to her own site. She watched me watch her and thought nothing of it. I mentioned something sarcastic and she pretended not to hear. As I get older I find that some people, actually most people really only care about themsleves and have zero consideration for others. They truly just don't care and do what they want with blinders on.
