- SRTExplorer$3.45 a gallon for regular gasoline is the new "top" price. Prices vary from $3.29 to $3.45. Diesel ranges from $3.94 to $4.39. Not looking forward to $4.00 a gallon gasoline.
- Greydog_1ExplorerGas prices predictions announced a few weeks ago to rise 50cents. That wasn't very true. In addition to the 50 cents it is now expected to rise an additional 25cents on top of that for energy used during blizzards. Now we are up to .75cents. Care to see how much more over 1.00 it will rise?
- SRTExplorerSome stations have raised their regular gasoline prices to $3.39 from $3.29. So we have a price spread of $3.21 to $3.39. There is talk of prices increasing another 50¢ a gallon. Diesel remains over $4.00 a gallon.

- LindsayRichardsExplorerThousands are living in RV's and the apartments are filling up as soon as they are built. There is a lot of infrastructure work going on around the oil business and the personal required to keep them going. This includes all sorts of retail and services. Clicking on the link above gives some overview. People report having multiple job offers the first day. Truck drivers are really in demand. Detroit has lost 2/3's of their population in the last 30 years and there are 78,000 abandoned residences as well as many public buildings. You are part of a very small group that thinks it is a paradise. I don't go there, but you seem to spend a lot of time in Florida. Makes zero sense. If you hate is so much and they hate you, why do you keep coming back to complain? Life is too short to spend someplace you despise.
- Us_out_WestExplorerIn Casa Grande, AZ today at Fry's Diesel is $3.56gal. We payed $3.26 per with a .30 cent Fry's rewards discount.
Back at our home base in Reno base price is $3.89 per at Smith's and they only give a .20 cent rewards discount...both stores are carry the Kroger products. - LindsayRichardsExplorer
- Greydog_1ExplorerThere are many people who move into ND and move out soon after. They are not impressed with the hiring factors. Just because you move to the area does not guarantee a job. You better know before moving.
- LindsayRichardsExplorerMcDonalds in ND oil path pays $15/hour with a $2,000 sign on bonus. Those wells are expected to last for about 30 years. ND unemployment is 2.5% (1/10th of Detroit) so people must like it. GM BUILDs 2/3's of their vehicles offshore. Most oil companies are listed on the US stock exchange and owned by investors from all over. UAW lost TN VW election yesterday.
- tomman58ExplorerLR, Most of the jobs in ND are boom town with a short future also the cost of living in that place is nuts. I recall something as to what a McD person was making and it wasn't min wage by a long shot. Besides living in ND equals being on an oil rig, pretty sad.
Oil companies are foreign except a couple they do take their profits home. GM is an American company and yes they take the profits home. I like Gm far more than BP. BTW I toss companies out of my portfolio if I don't like their model, like WalMart.
