- cekkkExplorerJust did a round trip to CS airport and regular (85 octane here) is still 3.509 after playing the 3-cent game. Diesel 4.15 and up.
- SRTExplorerSeveral stations are now at $3.37. So prices are continuing drifting down. Diesel prices are at $4.13 to $4.29. Hoping to see prices below $3.00 soon.

I know what he meant, but was responding to what he actually said. Ice is water and the whole Great Lakes system was carved out by ice during the last Ice Age. There used to be a mile of ice above what is now found. Anybody not believing it, can stand on the top of Maine's mountains and see huge, huge boulders perched where they could only be placed by melting ice. 14,000 years ago, my own state was 900 miles wide as the sea level was 300 feet lower. The water was all tied up in the frozen poles. The warming then was not caused by the cave man burning fossil fuels.
There is one place on I-35 between lanes just south of Hiway 210 (Cloquet, MN) where the original bedrock is exposed. Have to be in the north bound lanes to see the exposed rock formation. You can see scratch marks across the rock from the glaciers. - LindsayRichardsExplorerWe have spent a lot of time in the Dakotas and they are very, very pretty. There is a great degree of independence and self reliance. We were in South Dakota so long and my wife ate so many buffalo burgers, she started to develop a hump on her back. We lived in Portage, MI for 5 years and it is totally different. I just read today that fracking taxes are adding over $60 BILLION a year to taxes directly and double that in indirect taxes (like from the employees).
- LindsayRichardsExplorerDetroit has lost 65 % of it's population in the last half century and is extremely poor. There is not one incident of fracking causing aquifers to be polluted and only a few incidences of surface water being polluted by rouge operators who have been or will be punished, This takes place by a mile and a half under ground and the water is now recycled. There have been over 1.3 MILLION wells fracked in the US and many more overseas. This is a Hollywood deal and nothing else. Historic temperatures can be accurately measured by looking at ice core temperatures. The 1930's was in fact the hottest all over the earth. The thermal records as taken by actual weather stations has been corrupted by the warmest idealogs. As far as the Great Lakes having 20% of the world's fresh water. What a whopper. Antarctica has about 90%

Gas prices up here have continued their price "free-fall." Prices this morning range from $3.39 to $3.43. Diesel prices range from $4.17 to $4.29. Oil price is $86.24. My personal opinion is that something is still "rotten in Denmark."
In 2008 the price of oil was approaching $150 and the price of gasoline was over $4.00. The price of oil this time around was around $100 a barrel and gasoline prices were close to or over $4.00. Even with the dollar being inflated it's kinda tough to see why the big difference from 2008. It still smells.....:M
Good to hear since we are going on a trade show/sales road trip soon with first stop in MO and hope to make it through Cottonwood after IA and SD and before we head to WI then work our way home. Hope there is some $3 stuff soon. :) - SRTExplorerGas prices up here have continued their price "free-fall." Prices this morning range from $3.39 to $3.43. Diesel prices range from $4.17 to $4.29. BUT.... it is kinda like being down in a street fight and when the kicking stops you sit up and say"gee it feels better now that they stopped". What about all those bruises and cuts they didn't go away, same thing with gas how much did those "wonderful" "low % of profit" oil thieves get away with this time? How much of our economy went down the drain through higher transportation costs? How much longer are we going to go home down the same ol'street that kick our collective asses before?????
- RambleOnNWExplorer IIFilled up tonight at $3.85 for regular. One of the regular stations I visited, a 76 station, has gone under due to a nearby grocery store chain gas station.

You forgot the free air that the power companies use to generate the electricity to fuel up the electric cars when the burn fossil fuels. Just exchanging the smoke stack for the tail pipe and losing a lot of efficiency in-between.
Perhaps some places, not all. Here in the Northwest a milestone was reached for a time cecently, more wind power used than hydro power in the Bonneville power administration system. Here is the graph below:
This is good since river flows are low this time of year.
Again, having diversified energy sources keeps fuel costs down for us Rvers.
