Never been asked for registration. Count back 9 years and give that as the model year. The policy is so they can prevent trashy looking rigs. I know of at least one high end resort in Nevada that has dropped the policy as it was costing them business. If the high prices don't scare them off and the rig isn't leaking all over the driveway, it's in.
