RV storage - Lexington / Louisville KY

We'll shortly be heading for Florida but we have to return to Ontario at the end of February. Instead of dragging my 30' 5th wheel through all the crud I'd like to store it from Feb to the end of August somewhere along the line from Lexington to Louisville.

If anyone can suggest a good storage place in that area I'd love to hear from you!

Many thanks,
Ian
  • Cant offer you any places but some advice. Double check with your insurance company re temporary storage. Most companies will only insure you if it being occupied, down in the US.
  • A few years back, we were looking for a place to leave our M.H. for storage for a few weeks and I spoke with the folks at Singing Hills RV Park just off I-65 and on the road into Mammoth Cave N.P. They were willing (for a fee) to store it for us. In the end, our plans changed and storage was not necessary.

Are you really sure you want to leave your RV unattended for that long a period. I would be worried about mice and other critters.

If you watch the weather carefully and your timing is good, it is possible to drive back to Ontario on dry roads in the winter. It just depends on the type of winter we are having. This would not be a good day to be on the NY Thruway!
  • Try these people. Louisville underground storage (800) 873-0906. You would not have to winterize.
    Hope this helps

  • Hello:
My name is Terry and I was just searching RV forums for marketing purposes and came across your your post. I just now joined the forum to respond. My wife and I have been life long RV'ers and being in the military for over 20 years we have stored our RV or Boat in many different places around the entire US. Long story short we moved to Southern IN (15 min from Louisville) upon retirement from the Air Force and started a RV and Boat Storage business on 12 acres of commercial property we acquired 5 years ago. We just recently completed a major expansion of our facility and offer 45 covered (three sided buildings) units plus outdoor parking. Our rates are $100 covered, $40 outdoor and we have a coded entry gate with 24/7 access, lots of lighting, security system, abundant room for manuvering and we live right next door. Our place is designed by RV'ers for RV'ers. Be happy to answer any questions.
  • Here is where we store ours. Just about 60 miles north of Lexington right off I-75. Great people and place. Little costly but worth it.

  • Thank you! We found one in Georgetown but I'll keep this one in our records.
  • Sir:
If we can be of assistance, our business name is All American RV & Boat Storage and our number is 812-399-9894. Take care and happy travels!
