Why would they have to join? That's like saying that the Japanese would have to unionize to build cars here. Membership in an organization is not required to do business in the US unless you are a doctor or a lawyer. (Actually, DOs did business for years without membership in the AMA, so maybe it's only lawyers).
I've heard of campgrounds that require an RVIA sticker on all RVs that camp there.
I have camped in 50 Private campgrounds across the USA during the last 7 months and not once has someone walked out to look at RVIA sticker. NOT ONCE.
