China and Japan are potentially large RV markets, with China now importing RVs from U.S., Europe and Australia. Only recently has an industry developed producing RVs for local consumption.
Japan making their own RVs longer but still imports products (sizes) they don't make themselves. For example, the smaller 13 and 16 foot TTs from Casita, for sell as relatively big TTs in Japan. The smaller motorhomes produced in Australia (often on Japanese platforms) sell as big luxury RVs in Japan
A Few errors there: the Chinese DO NOT Import RV's from Australia. Some local builders have theirs made there.
The Japanese do not produce TT's like the Chinese they prefer smallish Class C's .In Japan they are built on tiny Japanese Trucks, in China IVECO Daily Vans. Both the Chinese and Japanese are not that impressed by Caravans or TT's they prefer Motorhomes.
No Australian Motorhomes are sold in Japan or China. The RV scene in both countries is tiny.
When I was in China, 2001-2004, I could rent an Australian-made motorhome from an agency across the road from Worker's Stadium. Walked by this agency frequently, was on the route between my apartment next door to the Australian Embassy and Outback Steakhouse on the stadium grounds.
The commercial situation may have changed since 2004, so that China has stopped importing from Australia.
