  • There are park models and there are destination trailers. Many park models don't have slide outs where most destination trailers do. I would suggest you look at them both.
  • How big of a tt do you want? Park models are usually 38' or longer.
We have a Keystone hornet hideout 38' bhds. Like it alot. New there around 25k....
  • Go to any seasonal or membership park and walk around. You will find lots of rigs on sites and ready to use with 'For Sale' signs in the window.
  • Check out Gulf Stream's Conquest Lodge Series - http://gulfstreamrvtrailers.com/conquest/floorplans.php. The quality on Gulf Stream's has improved since I bought mine in 2007 and they are a good value. I paid around $22,000 for the 2007 version of the 36FRSG and ordered it with a front queen IPO the bunk/dinette, 4 Fantastic fans installed from the factory, extra large entry handle, front pass through storage tray, and a few other extras. 7 years later, it has held up well and we have stayed 76-112 nights per year in it. I had a few warranty issues and my dealer had no trouble dealing with Gulf Stream.
  • ummm,

    Craigslist?

It would really help to know where you might plan on parking it. Then if you have a special lake or campground that you are looking into, consider asking if any of the RV's already set up might be for sale.

Medium park model leaves a lot of open questions.

Do you want a towable model? What you might tow it with?

How old is acceptable to you?

If you want a "Hunting cabin" it might be a few years older than one you would find acceptable to the wife and kids to go camping with friends.

If you want to be on a lake, you probably can find several places that have a truck to move around the 25 - 40' RV's from a storage yard to the camp site a few hours before you arrive. Then they can move it back to the storage area on Monday or Tuesday.

Usually there is a place that has small mobile homes and RV's with a deck already built in. You can find them in your part of the country.

    Fred.
