We have been camping for 20 years and very seldom go anywhere with full hookups. The occasional overnight stop at a KOA or other private park is all we experience. It seems like the sewer hookups at these places are always a couple inches off the ground and I find myself propping the sewer hose up at the end so it doesnt have to flow up hill. Does anyone use any hose support? I was looking and there are a million different versions. Only reason I ask is we have a three week trip planned at the end of the summer and a couple stops have full hookups. The longest stop will be at Ft Wilderness so we will be setup for a while there. Here is what I was looking atoption 1option 2option 3Anybody know if the hookups stick up out of the ground at Disney or are they flush?

I find using PVC Eaves trough works very well. It comes in 10' lengths, then cut to whatever lengths best fit in your storage compartments. I use short sections of 2x4 to get the slope I need. Just lay the sewer hose in the trough, no problems with wind blowing it over.

Any of them I have a sidewinder but am gonna buy 1 or 2 10' lengths (Gotta cut them) of gutter to hold mine mainly cause I have the posts under the camper to store them. If memory serves me they are flush with a little dish around them for drippings.. I'll be able to confirm after January.

If the end of the hose is lower then the holding tank why worry where the rest of the hose is. Mine is on the ground.

A few years ago I was in an RV park in Benson AZ where the county required that the sewer hose be off the ground so I bought Option 1.

I found it so handy that I find myself using it on any long term stay and many short ones.

Also since then I have been in a few other parks that require the hose to be off the ground

I ended up buying one that is 25 feet long which is what I need for the RV park we stay in all winter.

We use Option 2 because it assures a downward flow of `stuff' to the sewer. We also carry Sewer Solution for those rare rare cases when the sewer is too high.
The Disney sewers are in a little vault with sides at ground level. The sewer opening is a little below ground. This assures that spills are contained within the vault. It's the way all sewers should be installed.

I lay mine on planet earth! This usually makes a low spot in the hose creating the "P" trap effect so sewer gasses won't come up the hose.
