Well thats kind of what I am talking about. They manipulate the numbers; you get more for your trade but you pay more for the new TT. Or you get less for your trade and pay less for the new one.
And that is what makes me believe the NADA number is really just
arbitrary. And it seriously affects the market. Lets say I want to sell my awesome, well maintained, nearly perfect (fictional) TT to a private buyer. They come to me and say "NADA says I should only pay this" and that's all I can get, unless someone shows up who didn't do their homework. A dealer will give you even less than that.
I get the reality of it all, it just boggles my mind the way it works.
