There's a time and place to save money on transportation budgets. IMO, cautionary road signs would be towards the bottom of the cut list. First sign chop would be those Interstate signs that advertise different vendors with their logos at every exit. If we need cheaper signs, maybe the DOT saved all those metric conversion signs from the 80's. We could repurpose those.
