Maybe more signs are placed because too many ignore them? Like, "pick up after your dog" or "wash hands" in the bathroom. Or, "handicap parking", or "no parking", "do not litter", "turn cell phones off", "wipe feet", "stay right except to pass", "slower traffic use right lane", "you must be 21 to enter", "turn on headlights when raining"' "speed limit 55" (or whatever number you want", "STOP"......
