So knowing I need tires
Some one explain the value going Radial over Bias tire. After all. Both will come off when they turn 4 years old, and both are rated to 1700lb. More than enough for my TT. Just wondering why the added expense?

There are a whole lot of advantages to using radial tires over bias ply. The most important one, IMO, is that they track truer.
The Carlisle's are available at Discount Tire. Look online for deep discount coupons or go to a Discount location and ask when they are going on sale. The order writer will haggle on price. In the worst case, they will be under $100, mounted. - Terry, take a look at Carlisle RH, or Provider tires. Lots of good reports on the Carlisle tires, and I'm on my 4th year with the Providers, which are highly rated. The C and P tires are a similar design, both nylon wrapped for cooler running, and both rated to 81 mph. I don't tow over 65 unless passing, but good to know there is a cushion.
I'd stay with radial Carlisle, Provider, or Maxxis, not in any order, but best deal/fresh tires.
Jerry - We have a 2016 trailer that came with bias tires. They have worn poorly. All 4 have a quarter inch depression on the inside. Tire dealer said bias tires tend to let the belts slide side to side causing this. After reading many posts on this web, I have ordered Maxxix radials.

Exactly what I did. Went from 205-14 to 215-14 for that very reason.- :h
Bias ply is old tech, I have been driving on radial tire since 1967! - The only benefit to bias ply is the cording is not steel so when it comes apart it does not beat on the RV as bad. 1700? is that a 205-14? I would probably go 215-14 for the 1870 rating.
- I know radials don't wander on groved pavement like bias ply tires.
