We didn't know that they would put rabbits in the camper, or that the kid wets the bed. I've known this family for years and she is a good friend, so this was completely unexpected. I probably will have to replace the mattresses. You live and learn. Thank you.
Over the years that you've been friends you've never smelled urine stink in your friend's home? It doesn't take that much urine to make it stink and left on sheets, blankets and mattresses for any period of time, it will be obvious throughout the home.
So if your very "good friend" over the 'years' hasn't stepped forward to buy a new mattress etc I'd consider this friend as an "ex", present the friend with a bill for your expenses and effort and when you don't get paid, as you won't, then write it off as a lesson learned - ie,pigs will be pigs and when they move from their pig pen into your home, it will soon become your pig pen.
