Stealth Camping

many years ago somewhere on the other side of the country, I don't recall the state or the town, we drove along way off the beaten path and finally found an RV park. Arrived after hours so we parked in a spot on the grass, only water which we did not use. Got ready to leave in the AM, went to the office, I think around 9. No one there altho they should have been. Waited awhile and still a no show. Called an after hours number and fellow said, "oh they'll (supposedly a young girl who didn't show up on time) be there soon". No show so called again. By now over 1/2 hour wait to get on the road. Guy shows up and says $32.00 bucks. I said that's a little steep for just sleeping on the grass. He calls the owner who wouldn't budge. paid and left with the vow to never return, how could I, I didn't even know where I was:? and on my way home to California.
Then at a state park got in late and was asked to pay a full day for maybe 6 hours, they said OK, just come back and pay for tomorrow, I happily did.
