Didn't we just have a thread about a couple that died from gasoline generator fumes getting into their rig? And there were those five bikers that died in 2011 from the same cause. How many such reports have we seen involving modern propane indoor heaters?
All such (portable) propane heaters have auto-shutoff functions that belay if CO gets too high. Is there ANY generator that functions the same way? A properly functioning CO detector will "alert" in either case, but a propane space heater has the added protective layer of automatically shutting down the source.
I use a propane catalytic heater as my sole heat source and have done so for years. Proper venting is key.
